YWCA Darien/Norwalk to Hold April Vacation Art Workshop Classes for Children
Arts and crafts workshop classes are available for children, ages 5 through 11 on April 13, 14 and 15.

The YWCA Darien/Norwalk will be holding April vacation arts and crafts workshop classes for children, ages 5 through 11 on April 13, 14 and 15. Classes will run from 9:30 to noon and children can be registered for any number of days. These ‘Use, Reuse, Recycle’ workshop classes will use re-purposed materials to create a fairy/wizard project, build a castle or fairy house, and an arts and craft robot.
Rowana Shepard, who has a Dutch College Degree in Art and has been teaching art for more than fifteen years, will run the classes. Her experience includes teaching ceramics, sculpting, painting and recycled art at an after school program in New York City, culminating annually in the NYCHA Residents art show, for which work of many of her students was chosen. Fee per class is $50 for YW members, $55 for non-members. Children should bring their own nut-free snacks. Spaces are limited; registration is online at ywcadariennorwalk.org. For more information, please call (203) 655-2535.
