Darien YWCA Parent Awareness Presents 'What Every Girl Wants to Know'
A talk for moms and daughters on May 12 at The Depot.

YWCA Parent Awareness, a family-focused program that provides support and education to parents and children in order to encourage the healthy, positive development of youth and families, is presenting ‘What Every Girl Wants to Know’ on May 12 at 7 p.m. at The Darien Depot, 25 Heights Road, Darien.
This talk led by Diane Frankel-Gramelis, MS, CCE is back by popular demand. The discussion, which is for mothers and daughters, covers the physical and emotional changes of puberty. In a straightforward and entertaining manner, Frankel-Gramelis will teach young girls, ages 9 to 12, what to expect in the future. This program is not a “sex” talk, but will instead provide a starting point for further discussions with daughters about their changing bodies.
Diane Frankel-Gramelis earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Southern Connecticut State University where she is an adjunct professor. Diane is also a health and wellness coach and presents on stress reduction, lifestyle and health-related strategies.
