MIDDLEFIELD, CT — Crews extinguished a fire in Middlefield early Friday morning, according to fire officials.
Firefighters were called to the 200 block of Jackson Hill Road on a report of a brush fire at 1:30 a.m.
Crews arrived to find a 10-by-20-foot shed fully involved in a fire.
Firefighters used a handline to bring the blaze under control and prevent it from spreading to the surrounding area.
The Durham Volunteer Fire Company assisted with water supply.
The blaze is under investigation by the fire marshal.
