DURHAM, CT — Recent death notices from Durham and Middlefield

Marjorie A. Dahlmeyer, 88, of Durham, died Aug. 9, 2026. She graduated from South Broward High School in Florida and worked for the telephone company before becoming a full-time homemaker. She and her husband built and ran Westview Kennels in Durham. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Fred Dahlmeyer, and five children.

James Timothy McKenna, of Durham, 79, died Aug. 8, 2026. Drafted into the Army, he served in Vietnam and was awarded two Purple Hearts. He and his wife, Lynne, built a home in Durham where they lived for more than 50 years. He is survived by his wife of more than 60 years.

Geraldine Emily Zehren, 79, of Middlefield, died July 1, 2026. She worked for Pratt & Whitney. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Francis Zehren, and two sons.
