DURHAM, CT — Durham's two open houses this Sunday could hardly be more different: a one-bedroom condo overlooking a brook near Durham Center, and a home built around its garages, including a 40-by-40-foot building with 18-foot ceilings and a vehicle lift.
Two Durham homes are holding open houses Sunday, Nov. 1, priced at $190,000 and $649,000, according to Zillow.com. Middlefield has none this weekend.
Sunday, Nov. 1
25 Mill Pond Lane #C, Durham, noon to 2 p.m., $190,000. This one-bedroom, one-bath condo is a main-level unit in a 62+ HOA community near Durham Center, with a view of the woods and a small brook from the living room sliders. It has been freshly painted, and a nook off the living room could become an office or, with a door, a second bedroom. It has 841 square feet and a $429 monthly HOA fee.
45 Pent Road, Durham, 1 to 3 p.m., $649,000. This three-bedroom, 2.5-bath home is pitched at car collectors, contractors and landscapers, with an attached two-car garage plus two garage buildings, one of them 40 by 40 feet with 18-foot ceilings, a 16-foot door and a 10,000-pound lift. The house has a remodeled kitchen with quartz counters and a family room with a cathedral ceiling and brick fireplace, though the listing says the chimney needs repair before the fireplace can be used. It has 1,870 square feet on 0.94 acres.
Both open Sunday afternoon, with Mill Pond Lane from noon to 2 p.m. and Pent Road from 1 to 3 p.m., so one trip covers both.
