Suspects Attempt To Carjack, Shoot At Delivery Driver In Portland
A delivery driver threw a pizza at two people who allegedly attempted a carjacking early Wednesday morning, according to reports.
PORTLAND, CT — Two people attempted to carjack and shot at a delivery driver in Portland, according to FOX 61.
Domino's Pizza was making a delivery on Waverly Avenue at about 1 a.m. When the driver got out of the car, one of the suspects jumped into the driver's seat as the other ran around the car into the passenger's seat, FOX 61 reported.
The suspects got stuck on the icy road. The driver yelled at them and threw the pizza at them.

The two suspects ran down the road to another vehicle and the delivery driver attempted to follow them. One of the suspects reached out the window and fired at least two shots at the delivery driver while on Fairview Street, according to NBC CT.
The delivery driver then slowed down and saw the suspects cross the Arrigoni Bridge into Middletown, NBC CT reported.

Middletown police attempted to stop the vehicle, which continued into New Haven. Police said the vehicle stopped and four people got out and fled.
