2nd Annual Chili Cook-off Fundraiser
Proceeds benefit the VFW Post 3336 Veteran Relief Fund

Come join us for the 2nd Annual Chili Cook-off on Saturday, March 21st from 12-3pm at the American Legion Post 156 (35 Neptune Ave., Moodus CT 06469). Tantalize your tastebuds by sampling chili from a variety of local restaurants competing in a savory showdown for the best local chili. This event is hosted by the East Haddam/Moodus VFW Post 3336 and will be raising funds for and awareness of their Veteran Relief Fund.
River Valley Provisions (Haddam) is back to defend their title! How will they fare against the competition: Mindy K’s (Old Saybrook), Fresca Tequila Bar & Grill (Colchester), Higher Grounds at 32 Main (East Haddam), Westchester Marketplace (Colchester), Moodus Sportman’s Club (no game meat!), East Hampton VFW Post 5095, Winchester Café (Portland), American Legion Post 156 (Moodus), and Chestelm Health & Rehabilitation Center (East Haddam).
Other items to tantalize your tastebuds will be hard cider tastings from the Yankee Cider Company, fresh-baked sourdough from Flour & Feather, and hot sauce from Face Melter Brands.

Tickets are $10/person and kids under 10 are FREE. Cash bar and raffles will be available, too. This event is held indoors and will be rain or shine.

The VFW Post 3336 Veteran Relief Fund provides emergency and short-term support for local veterans and active-duty service members (including their families) and spouses of deceased veterans in need (such as food, fuel, lodging). Referrals to veteran support agencies and funds are available for qualified recipients.
