EAST HAMPTON, Conn. — From a nearly 200-year-old riverfront estate known as "Coveland" to a brand-new colonial ready for immediate move-in, East Hampton's current for-sale market has a little of everything, according to Zillow.com. Here's a look at the five most expensive homes on the market in town right now.
No. 1 on the list is 30 Knowles Road, listed at $1,395,000 — the only home on this list to break the $1 million mark, and by a wide margin. Known as "Coveland" and built in 1823 along the Connecticut River, the 3,799-square-foot waterfront estate has been on the market for 124 days and recently saw a $100,000 price cut. It comes with 4 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms, two private docks, soaring ceilings and a fully reimagined lower level with a bar and wine cellar.
Just behind it, tied for second at $799,900, are two very different properties. The first is 17 Markham Road, a secluded 3,904-square-foot custom home on 8.72 acres at the end of a quiet country lane, built in 1986 with exposed post-and-beam construction, a whirlpool tub and a handcrafted stained-glass front door. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms and has been on the market for 72 days.
Sharing that No. 2 spot is 28 Sergeant Morgan Road, a 2,448-square-foot home built in 2012 on 2.84 private acres with views of the Connecticut River. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and a half bath, a first-floor primary suite and a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, and has been on the market for 75 days after a $40,000 price cut on Aug. 10.
No. 4 is 36 Charles Mary Drive, listed at $759,900. The 4,290-square-foot home was built in 1989 on nearly 2 acres and just hit the market three days ago. It has 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and a half bath, along with a heated L-shaped saltwater pool, a two-story family room with a stone fireplace and a walkout lower level.
Closing out the top five is 2 Town Line Drive, priced at $749,900. Unlike the others on this list, it's brand new — a 2,500-square-foot colonial built in 2026 in the Whispering Woods subdivision, move-in ready with no wait for construction. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and a half bath, and has been on the market for 7 days.
Prices, square footage and days on market reflect Zillow.com listings as of Sept. 9, 2026, and are subject to change.
