Architect Chosen for New East Hampton Town Hall/Police Station
A Hartford architecture firm has been selected to design East Hampton's new Town Hall/police station.

EAST HAMPTON, CT - A Hartford architecture firm has been selected to design East Hampton’s new Town Hall/police station, the Middletown Press reported. The new building will be built on a 5.4-acre parcel of land in the Edgewater Hills mixed-use development.
Four firms were short-listed for interviews by the building committee, according to the Middletown Press. This led to the selection of Amenta Emma Architects of Hartford as the final choice for the project. (To sign up for East Hampton and Portland breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
The council voted 5-1 to endorse the selection of Amenta Emma, the Middletown Press reported. Several proposals have been submitted to design the new municipal building, however plans must still be approved by voters.
