UPDATE: Bobcat Shot, Killed After Attacking 3 Women in Colchester
DEEP officials suspect the animal may have had rabies, as bobcats rarely attack humans.

COLCHESTER, CT - Three women were taken to the hospital Tuesday after a reported bobcat attack in Colchester, previously reported by state police to have happened in East Hampton, Fox 61 reported.
Emergency responders shot and killed the bobcat after it jumped at one of the women in a greenhouse on the Caring Community property, according to Fox 61. The two other victims were scratched by the animal as a result of trying to assist the first victim.
The women were taken to a hospital for evaluation and treatment, Fox 61 reported. DEEP officials suspect the animal may have had rabies, as bobcats rarely attack humans.
