Calling all Country Bands! The Farmer's Cow Invites You to Participate in 1st Annual Country Music Showdown at Hebron Harvest Fair

Country Music Performers Invited to Compete in a Battle of the Bands at the 43rd Annual Hebron Harvest Fair
The 43rd Annual Hebron Harvest Fair will be a celebration of Cowboy Boots & Country Roots with the best area country bands competing in the first annual Country Music Showdown sponsored by The Farmer’s Cow. Bands will battle for the title of “New England’s Best Country Music Band” as well as cash prizes. The popular Nashville duo Kari& Billy will make a special appearance at the Fair to judge the final round and name the winner.
Country music bands from around the area are invited to apply for a chance to perform on The Farmer’s Cow stage at the Hebron Harvest Fair. Bands will be selected by the Battle of the Bands Committee based on their musicianship, creativity and originality. Country Music Showdown entry forms can be downloaded at www.hebronharvestfair.org and must be received by June 30, 2013.
The Country Music Showdown will take place on Saturday, September 7th with bands performing between 10am- 4pm in 30 minute sets. Two bands will be selected to compete in the Finalist Bands Battle at 5pm. The winner of The Farmer’s Cow Country Music Showdown will receive a $2,500 prize and be invited to play at the 2014 Hebron Harvest Fair. The second place winner will receive a $1,000 prize.
Bands will be judged in six categories: Musicianship, Creativity/Originality, Stage Presence, Professionalism, Promotion and Participation. For Promotion, each band selected to compete will receive a discount ticket purchase code to invite family, friends and fans to purchase advance tickets online. Promotion points will be awarded based on the number of tickets sold by each purchase code. For Participation, competing bands will receive a bonus point if they perform The Farmer’s Cow jingle as part of their set.
