Connecticut Unemployment Rate Continues To Decline

This is the sixth straight month the state has added more jobs.

Thereโ€™s some good news on the unemployment front in Connecticut. The state added jobs for the sixth straight month, including 2,400 jobs for July, according to numerous media outlets.

Connecticutโ€™s unemployment rate dropped by one tenth of a percent to 6.6 percent. Last year at this time the stateโ€™s unemployment rate was 7.9 percent.

Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy told Fox CT that his administration continues to grow jobs.

While the news is good, Connecticutโ€™s ranking is still below the national unemployment average of 6.2 percent.
