UPDATE: Crash in Portland Now Cleared

Update: The accident has been cleared as of 9:30 a.m. 

A crash has led to Route 66 to be closed near Route 17 in Portland and it’s expected to remains that was for most of the day, NBC Connecticut reports.

A vehicle struck a pole near Moore Brothers at 5 a.m.

Police recommend that if you’re driving eastbound over the Arrigoni Bridge to please take 17A to Route 17 and westbound traffic is being detoured to Route 17, NBC Connecticut reports.
