East Hampon Man Hospitalized After Propane Leak

An East Hampton man was hospitalized after being overcome by a propane leak in the garage of a Bear Swamp Road home Tuesday morning, authorities said.

A propane leak was reported to emergency dispatch at 9:30 a.m. at 149 Bear Swamp Road, East Hampton, authorities said Tuesday. A man that had been in the home’s garage was overcome by propane fumes, authorities said, and was brought to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment.

Authorities said that he was conscious at the time, but further information on his condition was not available.
