EAST HAMPTON, CT - An East Hampton bus driver has been credited with saving the life of a young girl passenger, the Middletown Press reported.
School district officials said DATTCO bus driver Randy Kronick rescued a 9-year old girl from being hit by an oncoming SUV at her stop in early February, according to the Middletown Press. The speeding vehicle did not obey the bus stop sign and flashing lights.
Kronick acted quickly after noticing the vehicle was not slowing down, the Middletown Press reported. The young near-victim was trying to cross Main Street to get to her mother, who was waiting and watching across the street.
