East Hampton Gearing Up for The First Annual Bellringer Regatta
Friends of East Hampton Rowing is hosting their first ever rowing regatta on Lake Pocotopaug in conjunction with the town's 250 Anniversary

The inaugural Bellringer Regatta will be held on Lake Pocotopaug on Saturday, September 16. Hosted by the Friends of East Hampton Rowing, the Bellringer Regatta will be a series of races beginning early Saturday morning and running into the afternoon.
This is new and exciting competitive rowing event with ten area High School crew teams invited to participate, is slated to be a big draw to East Hampton residents and its neighboring communities. The starting point for the regatta will be at Sears Park. The most fun, and the best way to learn more about rowing, is by attending regattas, and the Bellringer Regatta promises to be a day of fun with plenty of entertainment, socializing and food! The Bellringer Regatta is being introduced as part of East Hampton’s 250th anniversary, celebrating a long history and bright future of our quintessential New England town. It is the club’s plan to hold the regatta annually, and that it will become an East Hampton tradition.
“The Friends of East Hampton Rowing is truly excited to host the Bellringer Regatta on our fabulous venue, which will allow viewing of the various races from the shores of Lake Pocotopaug,” said Carol Records, FEHR Vice President and Regatta Steering Committee Member.

“We are very proud to be able to bring competitive rowing to the town East Hampton and hope that many of the members of the community will come out to enjoy the day and experience this great sport”, said Mike Dalton, Vice Principal of East Hampton High School and FEHR Club Liaison.
