East Hampton Girls' Soccer Named Academic All-Americans
Other honors and awards handed out at postseason banquet.

The East Hampton High School girls' soccer team had it's annual postseason banquet on Sunday and fun and exciting awards were handed out.
The biggest was the recognition the girls received from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. The Bellringers were named Academic All-Americans! This award signifies that the team had an average GPA of 3.25 or higher. Only eight girls' teams in Connecticut qualified.

Other awards handed out included All-Shoreline Honorable Mention going to Kim Nowakowski and Stephanie Bock. Colleen Owen was named second team All-Shoreline. First team All-Shoreline honors went to Becca Gustine. Gustine also received notice she is playing in the senior bowl and was chosen for All-State.
East Hampton finished 7-7-5, its best record in five years, and went to the Class S quarterfinals, tying the deepest the girls' soccer team has ever advanced in the state tournament. The 2006 team also made it to the quarterfinals.
