East Hampton High Driveway Renamed After Former Principal

The driveway leading into the school has been renamed to honor a principal who died while hiking.

EAST HAMPTON, CT — The driveway leading into East Hampton High School has been renamed after former principal John Fidler II.

Fidler died July 30 while hiking with his family in Maine, according to the Middletown Press.

Fidler was with the East Hampton school system for 27 years. The Board of Education received many suggestions on how to best honor the late principal.

The road is now known as John Fidler Way.
