East Hampton High School May Arm Security Guard

EAST HAMPTON, CT - East Hampton High School officials are considering employing an armed security guard, according to a WFSB report. A retired state trooper is the current security officer but he does not carry a weapon.

School officials said there was no incident that spawned the idea, WFSB reported.

The community will have the opportunity to weigh in on the proposal at an upcoming board of education meeting Monday, May 13, at the high school at 5:30 p.m.
