East Hampton Police Adds New Cruiser, Seeking New Officer

EAST HAMPTON, CT - Police have welcomed a new cruiser to the fleet, and are now looking for someone to man it, the Middletown Press reported.

Police recently announced the addition of the new vehicle, which will be used to target distracted motorists, drivers operating under the influence and speeding, according to the Middletown Press. The car is being put into use in time for the holiday season.

The department has also been actively seeking a potential new officer to add to the force, the Middletown Press reported. The department is hoping to add an officer already serving with another department so they can get another officer on the streets to help during the busy holidays.
