East Hampton Police Arrest Man on DUI Charge

Police received a call about an allegedly intoxicated man inside a gas station store.

On March 3 at about 9 a.m., the East Hampton Police Dept. was dispatched to 32 East High St. for reports of a supposedly intoxicated male inside the store.

When the officers arrived the man in question was in his vehicle already leaving the parking lot and he was traveling east on Route 66 in the westbound lane of travel. Officers were able to stop the vehicle and after a brief investigation Stephen Dubin, 47, was placed under arrest and charged with CGS 14-227a,Driving Under the Influence and CGS 14-230a, Failure to Drive Right.

Dubin was released after signing a $500 non-surety bond and agreed to appear before the Middletown Superior Court on Wednesday, March 18, at 9 a.m., to answer to the aforementioned charges.
