East Hampton Police Chief Announces Resignation

The move surprised many town leaders.

EAST HAMPTON, CT — In a surprise move Police Chief Sean Cox announced his resignation effective Jan. 1.Cox became an advocate for creating a modern police facility, something voters passed in a referendum last month.

Town leaders said they would be said to see Cox go, according to the Middletown Press. Town Council Chairwoman said he helped make the department a more steady place.
