East Hampton-Portland Election 2016 Results: Winners Revealed in Local Races

Results are coming in for a number of electoral races across the board in East Hampton and Portland, both on a local and national scale.

On the ballot, registered voters in East Hampton and Portland will be able to select candidates for president and vice president, United States senator, representatives to U.S. Congress, state senator and state representative.

In East Hampton and Portland, Republican candidate Art Linares beat out Democratic candidate Norm Needleman and Green Party candidate Colin D. Bennett in the 33rd Senatorial District race, as reported by the Norwich Bulletin.

In the 32nd State House District, Republican State Rep. Christie M. Carpino was able to keep her title by beating out Democrat Myron P. Johnson, as reported by the Middletown Press. The seat encompasses Portland and Cromwell.

In the 34th State House District, Republican candidate Melissa Ziobron ran unopposed.
