East Hampton Town Council Tables Discussion on Aging School Boilers

EAST HAMPTON, CT - Town officials have tabled a $30,000 boiler repair job proposal for Center School, the Middletown Press reported.

School facilities officials told the council Tuesday that the twin boilers are showing their age to a near extreme, according to the Middletown Press. Since 2011, nearly $80,000 have been invested in them.

Another option is to conduct a $90,000 engineering study on the state of the boilers, the Middletown Press reported. The council tabled the matter and will return to it at an unspecified later date.
