East Hampton Town Hall To Be Sold To Developer

A plan to sell the existing town hall has been approved.

EAST HAMPTON, CT — Residents have narrowly approved a plan to sell the existing town hall to a Bristol developer for $316,000, The Middletown Press reported. The decision was controversial, as some said a town asset was being sold off without being properly appraised.

The building, which the town purchased 35 years ago, has long suffered from various issues, including leaks and a lack of adequate space.
