East Hampton Woman Reports Assault; State Police Investigating

At approximately 3:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 17, Connecticut State Police were contacted by East Hampton Police to assist with an investigation at a residence on White Birch Road, according to a press release from state police.

A 58-year-old female was found to have sustained multiple injuries and was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. The Hartford Courant reported that the woman is in intensive care.

According to the Middletown Press, an equestrian training facility is located on the property.

Detectives from the State Police Eastern District Major Crime Squad responded to assist at the residence. State Police detectives secured the scene and began an investigation into the incident, assisted by the East Hampton Police Department. The investigation is ongoing.
