Election 2016 Results: East Hampton, Portland Vote Totals for President, U.S. Senate and Local Races
On Wednesday morning, full election results and numbers were released for all races that residents voted on.

On Election Night, 50.35 percent of residents preferred Donald Trump over Hilary Clinton, Gary Johnson and Jill Stein.
According to the CT Secretary of State election center updated via 10 a.m. Wednesday, 3,648 East Hampton residents voted for Trump and 3,210 voted for Clinton. Johnson additionally received 277 votes, while Stein received 88.
In Portland, an extremely close vote revealed 2,493 residents voted for Clinton and 2,491 voted for Trump. Johnson received 186 votes, while Stein received 82.

In the race for U.S. Senate, Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., amassed 3,523 as a Democratic candidate and 496 as a Working Families Party candidate. He received 3,009 votes in Portland across multiple lines.
Republican candidate Dan Carter meanwhile received 2,771 votes in East Hampton and 1,929 in Portland. The race was rounded out with 97 votes in East Hampton and 61 in Portland for Richard Lion and 76 votes in East Hampton and 71 in Portland for Jefferey Russell.

Democrat Joe Courtney crushed Republican candidate Daria Novak in the 2nd Congressional District race, with Courtney earning 3,942 votes on multiple lines. Novak amassed 2,718 votes, while Libertarian Daniel Reale received 116 votes and Green Party candidate Jonathan Pelto received 123.
Democrat John B. Larson beat out Republican candidate Matthew M. Corey in the 1st Congressional District race, with Larson earning 2,870 votes on multiple lines. Corey amassed 2,029 votes, while Green Party candidate S. Michael DeRosa received 119 votes.
In East Hampton and Portland, Republican candidate Art Linares beat out Democratic candidate Norm Needleman and Green Party candidate Colin D. Bennett in the 33rd Senatorial District race. Linares garnered 4,262 votes in East Hampton and 2,940 in Portland across multiple lines, while Needleman amassed 2,556 votes in East Hampton and 2,018 votes in Portland.
In the 32nd State House District, Republican State Rep. Christie M. Carpino was able to keep her title by beating out Democrat Myron P. Johnson. Carpino garnered 3,452 votes on multiple lines, while Johnson received 1,633 votes.
Republican candidate Melissa Ziobron ran unopposed in the 34th State House District, receiving 5,708 across multiple lines in the process.
Jodi Brazal received 42 votes and Lori A. Wilcox received 11 votes for registrar of voters in East Hampton as write-in candidates.
