Guts & Glory Quarry Challenge

It’s extreme, it’s endurance, it’s exertion to the max and it’s only at Brownstone. And it benefits Special Olympics Connecticut. Registration is now open!

The Brownstone Park Guts & Glory Quarry Challenge is just that. It’s designed for those extremists who enjoy pushing themselves and testing their limits. On Saturday, September 17, first responders from across Connecticut compete alongside the public. They’ll pit themselves against each other and the clock testing their physical and mental toughness all to raise money for Special Olympics Connecticut.

This 3K adventure obstacle course blends brain and brawn with ultimate challenges such as a 25’ cliff climb, mudslide & climb, tunnel crawl, cargo net climb, and cable traverse across the quarry.

The event has three male and female age divisions: 14-18, 19-40 and 41 and over. (You must be 14 on race day to participate.) Registration is open to individuals and teams of 4. Special spectator passes are available for $12.

Proceeds benefit Special Olympics Connecticut (SOCT) – changing attitudes and lives through year-round sports training and athletic competitions for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
