Come and learn about backyard stargazing as a fun family activity. Local resident Dean Kavalcovich will describe simple techniques and equipment for beginning astronomers. Learn how your eyes work in dim light; how to read a star map, and how to make your home's outdoor lighting more pleasant for stargazing. Different types of telescopes and astronomy on your PC will also be discussed. This event is geared for new star-interested adults and families with children ages 8 and up.
