Family Walk on the Airline Trail This Month

Tree expert Ed Richardson and WalkCT Family Guide Lynn Kochiss will lead the walk on Sept. 28.

Join tree expert Ed Richardson and WalkCT Family Guide Lynn Kochiss on a walk through the historic section of the Air Line Trail in East Hampton.

From 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Sept. 28, the WalkCT program of the Connecticut Forest & Park Association will hold a free walk along a 3-mile, flat walk on the Airline State Park Trail.

Participants will identify plants and trees, and learn the history of the Airline Railroad and the cranberry bog. The walk is relatively easy, and is recommended for children in intermediate grades through adults.
