Fundraiser for Injured East Hampton Police Officer to be Held this Weekend
His wife has taken a leave from work to help him recover, putting financial pressure on the family of five.

EAST HAMPTON, CT – A fundraiser will be held for an injured East Hampton police officer this weekend, the Hartford Courant reported.
East Hampton Police Officer Hardie Burgin was injured in September when he was struck by a car while assisting an electrical crew, according to the Hartford Courant. His wife has taken a leave from work to help him recover, putting financial pressure on the family of five.
The admission-free event will take place Saturday at 6 p.m. at Angelico’s Lakehouse restaurant in East Hampton, the Hartford Courant reported. The event will consist of a cocktail hour and charity auction.
