How to Show Candidate Support on East Hampton-Portland Patch

Who has your vote? If you’re endorsing a candidate this year, here is how to show your support on Patch.

• Click on “Contribute to Patch,” in the top right corner.

• Sign in with your email address and password, if you have one.

• If not, please click “sign in” and follow the instructions from there.

• Once signed in, click “Create article” on the top right of the page.

• Type in the name of the Patch site you wish to share on by clicking on “Assign your community” in the right corner of the page. Start typing the name of your community and it will appear. Click it when it appears to assign it.

• Enter a headline, description and body of the article in the outlined boxes.

• Click “upload a photo” to add an image. If you don’t see a preview, don’t fret. Once you click “publish,” the photo should be there but if not, it can be added later.

• Click the green “Publish” button on the bottom right. Your article is automatically approved and will be posted on the Bulletin Board! Be patient, you may not see your article at once. Do not publish it more than once, or you will see it appear many times!
