Al Iannone pitched a no-hitter as East Haddam defeated Guilford 2-0 in an American Legion game Tuesday in Moodus. Iannone, who was the Shoreline Conference Pitcher of the Year as a senior for East Hampton and helped the Bellringers to the Class S state title that year,  struck out six as East Haddam improved to 8-4. The lefthander went 3-3 as a freshman this past season at Western Connecticut State University.
