Man Disrupts Portland Church Service, Brought to Hospital
A man was brought to a hospital for evaluation after briefly disrupting a church service.

PORTLAND, CT - Police responded to St. Mary Church on Sunday after a man with psychological problems briefly disrupted a Mass service, the Middletown Press reported.
During the incident, the man came up to the altar and began speaking a message to the congregation, according to the Middletown Press. The man then began speaking rapidly, becoming unintelligible and alarming some members of the church.
Police and medical officials responded to St. Mary’s, who took the man to a hospital for evaluation following the incident, the Middletown Press reported. Church officials said the man’s message was in English and was at no point threatening in any way.
