Memorial Service For Beloved Horse To Be Held In East Hampton
A memorial service will be held in East Hampton for a Morgan mare who served as the riderless horse at more than 700 military funerals.

EAST HAMPTON, CT — A memorial service will be held in East Hampton this month to honor a Morgan mare named Meoldy who had served as the riderless horse at more than 700 military funerals over the past decade, the Middletown Press reported.
According to the Middletown Press, the beloved horse passed away Saturday, June 16, shortly before midnight at the age of 33. The service is open to the public and will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 30, at the Connecticut Draft Horse Rescue (CDHR) farm at Autumn Ridge on Chestnut Hill Road.
