MONTAUK OCEAN SWIM CHALLENGE

The
Montauk Playhouse Community Center Foundation (MPCCF) invites the community to
“Get Wet for a Good Cause” at the 6th Annual Montauk Ocean Swim
Challenge on Saturday, July 26th, 2014. 

Offering one of the few
opportunities to swim an ocean race on the Eastern seaboard, the Montauk Ocean
Swim Challenge features three distance categories
for swimmers of all ages and abilities. Beginners can sign up for a quick half-mile
swim, more experienced swimmers can register for the one-mile swim, and the adventurous
can tackle the new 5K swim. Each distance swim will have separate youth and
adult divisions. Swimmer check-in and same-day registration opens at 5:30 a.m.
at the Ditch Plains Beach parking lot.

Registration (includes
swim cap, t-shirt and post-race breakfast):

1/2 mile: $25 (advance), $40
(day of); 1-mile: $40 (advance), $55
(day of); 5K: $55 (advance), $70
(day of)

Participants should register in advance, online
at active.com (keyword Montauk Swim). Registration will also be available the
day of, at the Ditch Plains Beach parking lot at 5:30 a.m.

The Montauk Ocean Swim
Challenge is
organized by the East Hampton Volunteer Ocean Rescue Squad. Proceeds from the Montauk
Ocean Swim benefit the future Aquatics Center at the Montauk Playhouse
