New Restaurant Opens in Portland
Melilli's Caffe and Grille, which used to be in Cromwell, has now bought and taken over the space of Cavaliere's Bakery on Main Street.
A new cafe and grill has opened up in downtown Portland in the space of the former Cavaliere's Bakery.
Melilli's Caffee & Grille moved from Main Street in Cromwell to Main Street in Portland, and just this past week the new eatery opened for business, The Middletown Press reported this weekend.
The new restaurant is expected to be an informal, grab-and-go eatery with an assortment of sandwiches, salads, pizzas and other menu items.
The newspaper wrote a full feature story on the new business and its new owner.
Cavaliere's had closed down in January to undergo renovations and a change in ownership, according to posts on the business' former Facebook page.
