PD: Portland Man Assaulted 61-Year-Old, Pushed Him in Street

The victim's cane went up in the air during the incident, police said.

A Portland man was issued a summons after he allegedly assaulted a 61-year-old man and pushed him into the road way.

Police were on patrol in the area of Main Street and green Street on Sept. 1 when they noticed a man punch another man in the face.

Larry Floyd, 33, of Portand then allegedly pushed the victim onto the ground and caused him to fall backward into the roadway. The victim’s cane went up in the air.

Floyd was put into handcuffs. The victim said Floyd exposed his penis and made an obscene comment. The two had an argument.

Witnesses said Floyd was the aggressor. He was charged with third-degree assault on an elderly person and breach of peace.
