PORTLAND, CT — Portland officials are considering to purchase a 5.5-acre swath of land on the <a href="http://www.middletownpress.com/news/article/Portland-seeking-to-buy-land-along-Connecticut-12439245.php" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">Connecticut River that would be remediated.</a>The land is the former site of Connecticut Tar and Asphalt Co.
