Portland Fire Department Purchases More than a Dozen Units of Narcan After Generous Donation

The Portland Fire Department received a generous donation that will enable our department to be even more prepared and trained in supplying life saving techniques to our community.

We would like to personally thank Mr. Don Snyder of Snyder Engineering for his donation that allows our department to purchase 14 units of Naloxone.

Naloxone, commonly known as Narcan is a pharmaceutical used to counter-react the effects of opioid overdoses. Our first responders completed the required training in coordination with Middlesex Hospital.
