Portland Man Man Charged In Andover Stabbing Incident: State Police
A Portland man is facing charges after a knife incident at an Andover eatery, state police said.

ANDOVER, CT — A Portland man was involved in a stabbing that turned into an armed confrontation with state police Wednesday.
According to an arrest report, at 10:35 p.m. Wednesday, state police were called to Andover Pizza on Route 6 after receiving a complaint about a knife-wielding man causing a disturbance.
As troopers arrived, they were met by a man walking out of the establishment with a bloody knife, according to an arrest report. Troopers drew their service weapons, ordered the man to drop the knife and he did, according to an arrest report.

He was taken into custody without further incident, state police said.
The man was later identified as 36-year-old Samuel Bitcon, of Portland.

A man was located inside a restroom at Andover Pizza with a stab wound to the abdomen and he was taken to St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, according to an arrest report. Another man was located in the eatery with a minor head wound as a result of a confrontation with Bitcon, according to an arrest report.
Bitcon was charged with breach of peace, assault and threatening, all in the second degree. He was held overnight on a $100,000 bond and was to appear in Rockville Superior Court Thursday, state police said.
