Portland Resident Named “New Leader in the Law"

The Connecticut Law Tribune has recognized Robinson+Cole lawyer Andrea Donovan Napp as a New Leader in the Law. She was honored during an awards dinner on November 10 at The Bond Ballroom in downtown Hartford, along with other lawyers also representing the future of the legal profession in the state. This distinction is given to lawyers under the age of 40 who have excelled in their chosen field of practice, in client service and cultivation, in service to bar associations, and in performing pro bono work or community service in a volunteer capacity.

Ms. Napp sensed e-discovery was an opportunity early in her career and took the initiative to immerse herself in the emerging field, learning all she could about the law and the technology. She quickly became known as the firm’s resident thought leader on the topic, and in 2010, while still an associate, Ms. Napp created Robinson+Cole’s E-Discovery and Information Governance Team, which she still chairs today. In 2015, she was promoted to partner and now speaks nationally on the topics of e-discovery and information governance. In addition to her practice, Ms. Napp is actively involved in supporting the firm’s community and is a member of the Hiring Committee, Women’s Committee, and Professional Development Committee. She has also chaired Robinson+Cole’s annual United Way campaign for the past two years. Plus, she frequently volunteers her time to mentor law students at UConn and Quinnipiac. An avid runner, Ms. Napp has been a member of the Board of Directors for the Hartford Marathon Foundation since 2014.
