Portland Soccer Challenge District level later this October.

Saturday September 6th was the opening Day for the fall Portland Soccer Club season and was the scene of the Portland’s version of the Knights of Columbus Soccer Challenge held at the Camp Ingersoll soccer field.

This years winners of the Portland Challenge were:

Tatum Hair,
Caiden Hettrick,
Mary Kasperowski,
John Thompson.

Girls and boys compete in local, district, regional, and state wide competitions demonstrating their place kicking skills. Paul Scrivano, Youth Director of Freestone Council 7 Knights of Portland’s Church of Saint Mary, said “The day was hot in the upper 80’s and the competition was also hot this year”. The winners will go on to compete in the District level contest later in October.
