PORTLAND, CT — Portland Superintendent of Schools Philip O’Reilly has announced he will retire in June at the end of the 2018-19 school year, the Middletown Press reported.

According to the Middletown Press, O'Reilly has held the position since July 2014 and has been a professional educator for nearly 40 years. Board of Education officials said they have already started to interview a search committee and are hoping to begin the search process in the fall.
