Prescription Drug Take-Back Programs Near East Hampton, Portland This Weekend

National Prescription Drug Take-Back programs near East Hampton and Portland will take place on Saturday, Sept. 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the following locations:

• Cromwell Police Department, 5 West St.
• Middletown Police Department, Rear Door, 222 Main St.
• Glastonbury Police Department, Parks And Recreations Parking Lot, Rear Of Old Academy School Next To Town Hall, 2143 Main St.
• Wethersfield Police Department, 250 Silas Dean Highway
• Berlin Police Department, 240 Kensington Rd.

The service is free and anonymous. Prescription and over-the-counter medications, patches, ointments, vitamins, sample medications and pet medications will be accepted at the prescription drug drop box.

The following will not be accepted at the drop box: lotions or liquids, aerosol cans, inhalers, hydrogen peroxide, thermometers, needles or other sharp objects and medication from businesses or clinics.
