East Hampton Property Being Considered for New Town Hall, Police Station Could Lead to New Town Center

Councilors will further discuss the matter at an upcoming meeting.

EAST HAMPTON, CT - The Edgewater Hill property is being discussed as a viable option for a new police station and town hall, the Middletown Press reported.

The town has currently reviewed eight proposals for land on which to build the new property, according to the Middletown Press. A majority of the council has agreed that the Edgewater Hill property appears to be the most viable current option.

Council members have suggested that placing the new town hall/police headquarters on the property could lead to the creation of a new town center, the Middletown Press reported. Councilors will further discuss the matter at an upcoming January 31 meeting.
