Random Thoughts

I seem sort of scattered this week.  I'm not sure if it's because my brain fried during the heat spell or if it is just overloaded, but I don't seem to be able to complete a thought so I am going to resort to a device I've seen newspaper columnists use: THE LIST.
Here are some questions and thoughts that have been rattling around in my head for the last few weeks.  Maybe there is some collective wisdom out there that can answer them.
1) Why does my cat, who avoided all human contact for the first four months I had him, now want to cuddle only when it is 95 degrees and 70% humidity?  I love you, cat, but really?
2) Why is it that a group of women who are all able bodied coffee drinkers cannot make a cup of coffee for themselves?
3) How does one maintain friendships when everyone is always too busy or too broke to get together?
4) How do people live in this world of 24/7 news coverage with no more idea of what's going on in the world than the slugs in my garden?
5) How many siblings do you have to lose before people think it's okay to ignore the passing of another (I think the answer is 4).
6) If you have to preface a statement by saying, "I'm not prejudiced, but...", you are prejudiced.
7) An open door policy does not mean "Feel free to interrupt with whatever thought is floating through your head at this moment even though I am in the middle of dealing with a phone call and someone else simultaneously."  I can multitask, but common courtesy should prevail.
8) God may be the answer to your questions, but that doesn't mean he is necessarily the answer to mine.  Don't presume.
9)  Before you post a rant or attempt to tell people how to think, please learn some basic grammar and proper spelling.
10) Why can't people just be kind to each other?
That's it for today. I'll try to get it together for next time!
