Rotary Club Helps Fall Ball Champs Celebrate

Present Little League with donation.

East Hampton Little League President Randi Demers joined Team Manager Kevin Reed and Coaches Dean Webber and Jay D’Antonio to celebrate the Little League Baseball Fall Ball champs.

According to Reed, practice began with this team in September. The team motto (to quote former Governor Bill O’Neill) was “Be a work horse, not a show horse.”

Reed thanked those who supported the players during the season: the families and friends who provided car rides and worked around changing schedules. The manager then described the final games of the season against East Haddam and Haddam, with Zack Webber hitting a home run and Fred Stanton pitching a complete game. East Hampton had 27 hits in the 15-2 win against East Haddam.

The top three batting averages belonged to Colin Webber, Sean Reilly and Jared Reed. After each team member was introduced, East Hampton Rotary President Barbara Moore presented a Rotary donation for the Little League.
