Scenes at the Gas Pump
Prices have hit $4 or more a gallon for regular unleaded and still climbing.
The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas in Connecticut hit $4 last week.
According to AAA, which monitors prices at the pumps, gas stations across the state were averaging $4 a gallon. As of Wednesday, not even a week later, the average price is already up to $4.09 a gallon.
A month ago, the price averaged $3.75. A year ago? Try $2.97.
Of course, these prices are for cash. If you pay using your debit card, or a credit card for that matter, you can expect to pay at least four cents more a gallon, but there are a couple of gas stations in our area that offer gas at the same price, cash or credit.
