Thank You St. Mary's Parish!

Students of St. John Paul II Regional School sponsored a PASTA DINNER for the benefit of JEFF SMITH, a St. Pius Parishioner. Friday, January 30th at St. Pius X Bill Fortin Memorial Hall.

The event began with an introduction from Kathleen Peck the Principal of John Paul II and an Opening Prayer from St. Pius X Pastor Fr. John Gallager:

The dinner had a very large turnout thanks to the Students Of St. John Paul II. Because Mrs. Smith is a preschool teacher at their school they donated there time and talent to help support Jeff Smith:

Jeff is a long time parishioner of Middletown’s St. Pius X Church. Before his medical disabilities he was active with the parish especially with the Capuchin Appalachian Mission working with teens in poor areas around Kentucky.

The Smith Family would like to thank everyone for their continued support to Jeff. Over the last 8 weeks, over $20,000 has been donated to Jeff’s cause. So many people have continued to share Jeff’s story with their family and friends and it is so appreciated!

Your kind words of encouragement, your support and prayers have allowed us to face this very difficult challenge knowing that we have so many people behind us. We cannot even begin to convey the personal debt of gratitude our family owes to each and every one of you. It is a debt that is impossible to repay and we are honored and privileged to have such amazing family and friends.

Both Paul and Samantha have been such a source of inspiration to Jeff and me. They constantly bring to our attention that we need to raise awareness for all families going through similar situations, and that cancer can affect people of all walks of life. We can easily get caught in our own terrible circumstances and lose sight that CANCER is bigger than any of us.

Please always remember that you are making a genuine difference to the lives of so many ordinary people, like us, who may otherwise have limited opportunities to raise funding. The connection we have had with everyone has helped immensely in the healing process.

Jeff continues to fight the fight each and every day! We send our love to all and thank you again from the bottom of our HEARTS! “Faith it does not make things easy it makes them possible.”
